Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100)
Simplified Technical English (STE) is een internationale documentatienorm, oorspronkelijk bedoeld voor luchtvaart en defensie, maar inmiddels ook wereldwijd succesvol toegepast voor andere industrietakken, waaronder IT, werktuigbouw, electronica, consumentenproducten etc.
STE standaardiseert zowel algemeen als specialistisch woordgebruik, alsmede de grammatica en stijl – dit alles met het doel, technische documentatie toegankelijker te maken en het vertaalproces te ondersteunen. De gebruiker kan zelf bepalen, welke technische termen hij nodig heeft.
STE helpt om aan relevante normen te voldoen, kosten te besparen op vertalingen, de kwaliteit van de documentatie te meten en verbeteren, alsmede om efficiënter te werken.
Dit leidt tot kortere doorlooptijden en aanzienlijke kostenbesparingen. [meer]
Gestructureerd, topic-georiënteerd schrijven met DITA-FMx
In deze workshop neemt Yves Barbion u mee op een tocht doorheen het hele documentatieproces:
- We analyseren en converteren een stukje van uw representatieve content in DITA-topics en we ontwerpen een prototype van een DITA-publicatie ("DITA map")
- We ontwerpen nieuwe DITA-topics van verschillende informatietypes en we verzamelen die in een DITA-map.
- We publiceren de DITA-map via FrameMaker in PDF-formaat.
- Yves publiceert uw DITA-map in andere formaten via de DITA Open Toolkit.
Na de workshop hebt u een degelijk prototype van een DITA-map dat u later verder kunt gebruiken voor verschillende doeleinden, bijv. om DITA-editors of -contentmanagementsystemen te testen, voor opleidingen enz. [meer]
DITA Open Toolkit Customization Workshop
The DITA Open Toolkit Customization Workshop is for organizations and individuals who need to create their own customized processing and style sheets for the DITA Open Toolkit. The workshop guides the participants to the customization techniques and covers a selection of tools for developing these customizations. [more]
